Their duties often include planting trees and shrubs, laying sod, spreading mulch, operating landscaping equipment, and assisting with irrigation or hardscape installation. They may also be responsible for general grounds maintenance like mowing, trimming, and seasonal clean-up. Landscape laborers typically work outdoors in all weather conditions and often need physical stamina to handle the demands of the job.

What are some common challenges faced by landscape laborers and how can they be managed?

Landscape laborers often work outdoors in varying weather conditions, which can be physically demanding and require adaptability. Managing tasks like lifting heavy materials, operating equipment, and handling plants or soil can be challenging, but using proper safety gear and techniques helps reduce risks. Time management is also important, as projects may need to be completed within tight deadlines while maintaining quality. Collaborating closely with team members and supervisors ensures tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
