Job description

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an opening for a Senior Asphalt Pavement Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona. The Asphalt Pavement Engineer will perform the following job duties:
  • Perform pavement design and subgrade thickness evaluations
  • Develop and manage pavement management systems
  • Conduct forensic evaluations of pavement failures
  • Write engineering analyses and technical reports
  • Create asphalt mix designs and evaluate pavement materials
  • Review laboratory reports and pavement specifications for roadways, highways, parking lots, and airports
  • Mentor and train junior engineering staff
  • Provide leadership and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support marketing and business development activities
  • Review and provide direction on engineering work products
  • Prepare, review, and sign pavement proposals and reports
Education Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • M.S. in Civil Engineering with emphasis or concentration in pavements
  • Active Civil Engineering PE license
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of pavement engineering experience
  • Strong background in civil engineering principles
  • Experience performing pavement design, forensic evaluations, mix designs, and related tasks
  • Familiarity with construction and paving activities (preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills
