We’re seeking a Pattern/Sampler Tech to join our Products Division and help advance our mission to "Enhance Survivability". The position involves advanced industrial sewing and textile fabrication integrated with mechanical assembly and interpretation of detailed technical drawings. The selected candidate will contribute to the fabrication and assembly of TACREV's ballistic, textile, and composite systems, supporting both prototype development and full-scale production. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, craftsmanship, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform sewing and manufacturing assembly processes, ensuring quality, efficiency, and team productivity.
  • Lead and support a small team of production employees, fostering a safe, organized, and collaborative work environment.
  • Operate industrial sewing machines and laser cutters to fabricate high-precision textile components.
  • Sew and assemble materials such as Cordura fabric, webbing, hook & loop, and other complex textile assemblies.
  • Read and interpret 3D models, technical drawings, and detailed work instructions to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Assemble machined, composite, and textile-based components according to engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and product developers to refine designs, improve manufacturing workflows, and resolve production challenges.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to manage materials, components, and outsourced fabrication processes.
  • Uphold strict quality control standards and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and cutting tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings from 3D CAD models (SolidWorks experience preferred).
  • Excellent hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise fabrication and assembly work.
  • Demonstrated experience assembling mechanical and textile-based products.
  • Highly reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and punctual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to U.S. Government contract obligations.
