The Patient Transporter works within Munson Medical Center to assist the clinical staff in moving patients. 

Job Description

The Patient Transporter is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients to and from clinical units, various diagnostic areas in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Duties:
Transport patients in a safe and timely manner, following established policies and procedures.
Receives and records accurate information from TeleTracking system/dispatcher for each transport. Accepts patient transport job via TeleTracking system.  Completes patient transport job via TeleTracking system.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in patient handling and working with the public preferred.
BCLS required or obtain within six months of hire.  Failure to obtain may result in termination of employment


Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
