Job description

Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.

To perform a variety of duties in the Food Services Department which include, but are not limited to:

  • prepare and stock cafeteria meal service line, salad bar, patient tray line, and patient kitchens
  • prepare and serve food to patients, staff and the public
  • deliver meal trays to guest service representatives on patient units
  • assist with tray assembly as needed
  • disassemble trays and clean food trucks
  • service ware washing and pot washing manually or with dish machine
  • wrapping silverware
  • fill and deliver patient floor stock as assigned
  • general cleaning

REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, write and speak in English and be able to follow verbal and written instructions; previous experience in retail food service, or similar environment preferred
