Job description

Patient Relations Specialist

Position Description:

We are looking for a Patient Relations Specialist to join our Team!

The Patient Relations Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the assigned Nulton Diagnostic and Treatment Center (NDTC) offices.  This position provides support to doctors and therapists, and specific duties include:

       Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone

       Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

       Optimize patients' satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments in person or by phone

       Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of patient's arrival

       Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records

       Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.

       Answers multi-line telephone, document or transfer calls as needed

       Collect and balance co-pays daily

       Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information

       Provide patient reminder calls

       Using electronic medical records

       Scanning and electronic filing

       Communicate directly with doctors, therapists, community officials, and other staff members

Education, Experience, Skills, Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills and at least one-year experience working in an office setting.  Must be able to obtain Act 33, Act 34 and FBI clearances.

This is a full-time position with medical, dental and vision benefits, as well as, 401(k) Retirement Plan with matching contributions, paid vacation and paid holidays.
