Job description

Livonia Dental Team | Full-Time

At Livonia Dental Team, part of Seva Dental Team, the front desk is not just a desk. It is mission control.

We are looking for a full-time Dental Front Desk Patient Coordinator / Dental Receptionist to help keep our busy dental office running smoothly while making patients feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and confident from check-in to check-out.

This role is a great fit for someone with dental front office experience who is organized, warm, fast on a computer, comfortable with dental insurance, and able to juggle scheduling, patient communication, insurance verification, payments, and follow-up with a steady hand.

Why this role matters

The patient experience starts before a patient ever sits in the chair. As our Patient Relations Coordinator, you are often the first voice patients hear, the first face they see, and the person who helps them understand their appointments, insurance, financial responsibility, and next steps.

You are the hub of the dental office. You help the schedule stay full, the day stay organized, and patients leave feeling cared for and clear about their treatment.

What You’ll Do

As a Dental Patient Relations Coordinator, you will support both the patient experience and the daily operations of the front office.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Answering patient phone calls and providing excellent customer service
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming dental appointments
  • Checking patients in and out
  • Managing the daily patient schedule and helping keep the office on track
  • Verifying dental insurance benefits and eligibility before appointments
  • Reviewing and documenting patient financial responsibility and insurance responsibility accurately
  • Collecting patient payments for services performed
  • Following up with patients who are due for treatment or hygiene visits
  • Using scheduling tools to fill cancellations, openings, and past-due appointments
  • Following up on outstanding dental insurance claims as needed
  • Posting insurance payments and EOBs accurately
  • Collecting past-due patient balances
  • Supporting the dental team during morning huddles and throughout the day
  • Helping create a positive, organized, and welcoming patient experience

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who can communicate clearly, stay calm when the day gets busy, and keep details from slipping through the cracks.

Qualifications:

  • Dental front office, dental receptionist, or dental patient coordinator experience required
  • Experience with insurance verification, insurance payment posting, and EOBs required
  • Strong computer skills and confidence learning dental practice management software
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental office environment
  • Professional, positive, service-focused attitude
  • Strong communication and patient service skills
  • Team player who works well with doctors, hygienists, dental assistants, and front office teammates
  • 2+ years of experience in a direct customer-facing role
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus

Benefits

We take care of our team, too.

Benefits include:

  • Medical insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Seva Dental coverage, including eligible immediate family
  • 401(k)
  • Holiday pay
  • Paid time off
  • Monthly bonus opportunity

Ready to Join Livonia Dental Team?

If you love creating a great patient experience, thrive in a busy dental office, and know your way around dental front desk operations, we would love to meet you.

Come be the reason patients feel taken care of before they even sit in the chair.  🦷✨
