Overview/Impact:

Are you a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist eager to help students in the Bronx unlock their communication potential? Knowledge Road is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and deliver critical support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With a major shortage throughout the city of related service providers, your skills are in high demand to help students in overcoming communication barriers and achieving academic success. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact, working with students with diverse communication needs in school-based environments.

As an SLP with Knowledge Road, you will enjoy the autonomy to deliver individualized therapy using evidence-based practices, partnering with school teams and families to support student communication development.

Responsibilities

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Knowledge Road, you will:

  • Provide direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, according to their Individualized Education Service Programs/Individualized Education Programs (IESP/IEP).

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

  • Develop and implement innovative and effective treatment plans customized to the unique needs of each student.

  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school professionals to establish a holistic and supportive learning environment.

  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in accordance with DOE and Knowledge Road standards.

  • Participate actively in IESP/IEP meetings, offering expert insights and recommendations to advance student progress.

  • NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to complete prior to start.

Schedule & Location

This is a full-time, school-day role in the Bronx area following a schedule that aligns with the NYC DOE calendar. You will deliver services on-site at schools in the Bronx area, with assignments determined by student needs. Hours per week are based on IESP/IEP requirements; caseload may differ by assignment. Typically ~20-30 hours/week based on student assignments.
