PASTORAL/SPIRITUAL CARE DIRECTOR

Our mission driven skilled nursing facility is seeking a full-time, faith-centered, compassionate person who will enhance and support the lives of our residents and affirm their dignity.  Pastoral/Spiritual Care at Teresian House embraces compassionate ministry to the aged, the sick, the dying, and to persons with Dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate.. all pastoral and religious services, including a daily Mass and Feast Days, scheduling priests, and religious holidays.
  • Cultivate.. meaningful relationships with residents, their families and our staff is essential.
  • Provide... presence and spiritual and emotional support to residents, their families and staff
  • Enhance... provide a welcoming environment recognizing the dignity of the human person.
  • Assess and Document... the spiritual needs and concerns of residents.
  • Assist.. in preparing chapel for Mass, funerals, and special liturgies
  • Bring.. Eucharist to residents
  • Supervise.. paid and volunteer pastoral staff

REQUIREMENTS

  • Eucharistic Minister 
  • Previous ministry service
  • NACC certification preferred.
  • Theology or Pastoral Care studies preferred.
