Job description

Position Summary:

The Parts Advisor plays an essential role in supporting both the service department and retail clients by ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely parts sourcing. This role contributes directly to client satisfaction, technician productivity, and dealership profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Parts Sales & Recommendations

  • Assist clients, technicians, and wholesale customers in identifying and ordering required parts
  • Provide accurate pricing, availability, and compatibility information

Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels, process orders, and coordinate with vendors
  • Assist with inventory counts and keep storage areas organized

Client Communication & Service

  • Serve as the primary contact for parts inquiries with prompt, professional responses
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal staff and external clients

Order Processing & Documentation

  • Process parts orders using dealership systems
  • Maintain records of sales, returns, and warranty claims

Collaboration with the Service Department

  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure timely parts availability
  • Keep the team updated on order status or delays

Promotions & Upselling

  • Promote specials, accessories, and value-added products
  • Assist with merchandising parts and accessories in the retail area

Process Adherence & Standards

  • Follow dealership and manufacturer policies to ensure compliance
  • Uphold Cadillac brand standards in all interactions

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in an automotive parts role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems and inventory software
  • Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and teamwork
