Carleton Equipment is currently seeking an experienced Parts Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Brighton (Howell) Parts Department. This position combines hands-on parts sales and customer support with department leadership, inventory management, and team development.

Primary Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToCustomer Service & Parts Sales
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to retail, wholesale, and internal service customers.
  • Assist customers and technicians in identifying and sourcing the correct parts.
  • Prepare quotes, process parts orders, invoices, and special orders.
  • Follow up on backorders and communicate order status.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through outstanding service and product knowledge.
Inventory Management
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain proper stock quantities.
  • Order parts from manufacturers and vendors.
  • Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts.
  • Coordinate returns, warranty claims, and core returns.
  • Assist with annual physical inventory.
Department Leadership
  • Lead the daily operations of the parts department.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop parts department personnel.
  • Establish priorities and ensure department efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Service and Sales Departments to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor department profitability, inventory performance, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain manufacturer standards and dealership procedures.

Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and replacement parts.
  • Experience with dealership inventory management systems.
