Job description

The Parts Counter Associate serves as the primary point of contact for customers and technicians seeking parts for vehicles and equipment. This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing parts, providing knowledgeable recommendations, processing orders and returns, managing inventory accuracy, and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer centric experience at the counter, by phone and via email.
Split shift: 2:30p - Midnight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist retail customers with their purchases
  • Identify and troubleshoot correct parts for customers
  • Look up and price wreck estimates for both internal and external customers
  • Process all orders from beginning to end
  • Process all special orders and back-order parts that need to be invoiced and delivered or shipped to customers
  • Help suggest and recommend new parts to stock and communicate new trends or changes in buying habits of customers
  • Help with housekeeping throughout the parts department when needed, but specifically with the retail counter, will call, and front customer display areas.
  • Help with keeping the display area stocked and appealing to the customer
  • Handle and process all warranty requests for company policies and procedures
  • Process all "cash" transactions completely and accurately through the cash register when the cashier is not available
  • Tage and inspect all exchange cores for like and for good core requirements
  • To help and support our OPS force with ID's, parts, wreck estimates, quotes and processing parts order for customer delivery or pickup
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledgeable about parts and able to use the parts catalogues
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in an efficient and organized manner
  • Strong attention to detail
