Set in the historic Summerville neighborhood, our iconic hotel is renowned for its sweeping verandas, refined dining, and timeless hospitality. We are seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Catering Sales Manager to lead the planning and execution of all catering and social events, advancing The Partridge Inn's reputation as Augusta's premier destination for weddings, meetings, and memorable celebrations.

Position Overview

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for generating catering revenue while ensuring flawless execution of meetings, weddings, social events, and corporate functions. This highly visible role serves as the primary point of contact for clients from initial inquiry through event completion, delivering personalized service and creating memorable guest experiences that reflect the character and hospitality of The Partridge Inn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Catering Sales and Revenue Generation
  • Respond promptly to catering inquiries and actively solicit new business for meetings, social events, and local functions.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in alignment with hotel standards.
  • Achieve assigned catering revenue goals through proactive sales, upselling, and relationship development.
  • Conduct site tours and client meetings to showcase event spaces and hotel offerings.
  • Manage catering systems and activity tracking to support revenue performance and forecasting.

Event Planning and Client Experience

  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients from booking through event execution and follow-up.
  • Coordinate all event details including room setup, menus, timelines, audiovisual needs, and special requests.
  • Ensure all event information is communicated clearly and accurately to operations teams.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Operational Coordination

  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef, Food and Beverage team, Banquets, and Operations to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Lead BEO meetings and ensure all departments are aligned prior to events.
  • Monitor event service levels and guest satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support post-event billing, reconciliation, and client follow-up.

Community and Hotel Engagement

  • Build relationships with local businesses, wedding planners, organizations, and community partners.
  • Represent The Partridge Inn at networking events, bridal shows, and community functions.
  • Support the sales team with group and event opportunities as needed, contributing to total hotel revenue.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of catering or event management experience in a hotel or upscale venue preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of social events, weddings, corporate meetings, and local catering markets.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Hilton systems (Delphi, PEP, or similar) preferred.
  • Energetic, proactive, and passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences.
