  • The Sports Partnerships Manager leads and expands Emory Healthcare's sports partnership portfolio.
  • This role is responsible for the strategy, coordination, administration, and end-to-end execution of partnership activations with major professional sports organizations to support Emory Healthcare's brand positioning, marketing, wellness, and community engagement goals.
  • The Sports Partnerships Manager serves as the primary Emory Healthcare point of contact for professional sports team partners and leads cross-functional coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • This position manages partner relationships, activation logistics, game-day and community-facing events, creative asset coordination, budget tracking, NIL-related payment workflows, and performance reporting.
  • This role requires strong organizational, communication, relationship management, and leadership skills, along with the ability to represent Emory Healthcare in high-visibility, partner-facing environments.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to brand stewardship, health equity, and collaborative work across healthcare, sports, marketing, and community settings.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Strategy and Leadership
      • 1. Lead the planning, development, and implementation of sports partnership initiatives, including activations, programming, game-day events, and community-facing extensions.
      • 2. Own and direct partnership logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, athlete coordination, partner communication, and internal stakeholder alignment.
      • 3. Lead the execution of partnership activations and game-day events, ensuring effective, brand-aligned, and high-quality delivery.
      • 4. Manage relationships directly with professional sports team partners as the primary Emory Healthcare point of contact.
      • 5. Lead and contribute to decision-making among internal and external project teams to ensure alignment with marketing, branding, community engagement, and health equity goals. Strategic
  • Partner and Activation Leadership
      • 1. Lead day-to-day communication and relationship management across major sports partnerships.
      • 2. Own end-to-end strategy and execution for partnership activations, integrating sports performance, recovery, wellness, and health equity storytelling into a cohesive brand experience.
      • 3. Oversee partnership-related social media submissions and approvals.
      • 4. Serve as steward of creative assets and partner-facing materials to ensure brand consistency.
      • 5. Serve as the on-site brand lead at major activations and game-day events, representing Emory Healthcare in high-visibility, partner-facing environments.
  • Budget and Financial Management
      • 1. Manage partnership and activation budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
      • 2. Oversee NIL-related payments and processes, ensuring timely execution and adherence to internal financial protocols.
      • 3. Coordinate closely with Accounts Payable to support vendor and athlete onboarding and payment workflows.
      • 4. Maintain accurate financial documentation related to partnership activations, payments, and related expenses.
  • Administrative Oversight
      • 1. Maintain organized records of partnership activities, athlete and partner information, activation outcomes, and related documentation.
      • 2. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials related to partnership performance and brand impact.
      • 3. Coordinate timelines, deliverables, communications, and follow-up items across multiple partnership initiatives.
      • 4. Support internal governance and documentation processes related to sports partnerships, partner materials, and activation planning.
  • Data Management and Analysis
      • 1. Lead the collection and analysis of data related to sports partnership activations.
      • 2. Create and manage QR codes and UTM parameters to track campaign performance and lead generation.
      • 3. Develop metrics and indicators to evaluate partnership effectiveness and impact.
      • 4. Monitor leads using Formstack and internal reporting tools.
      • 5. Prepare data reports and summaries for internal and external dissemination, including regular analytics updates during weekly cross-functional calls.
      • 6. Upload and maintain data sheets in Wrike to support CRM ingestion and downstream reporting by the analytics team.
      • 7. Identify opportunities for improving partnership processes, activation outcomes, reporting practices, and stakeholder coordination.

Additional Duties as Assigned Travel Travel may be required.

Candidate must be available to work occasional nights and weekends, including game days and partner events.

Work Type Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Sports Management, Business, Communications, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in a healthcare or sports-related organization with a strong track record of accomplishment may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience Minimum four years of experience in partnership management, sports marketing, sponsorship activation, brand management, or a related role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Required Strong knowledge of partnership management, sponsorship activation, sports marketing, brand management, or related marketing functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead partnership relationships and manage day-to-day partner communications.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple activations, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end activation strategy, including planning, execution, event support, and post-event reporting.
  • Ability to manage budgets, payment workflows, vendor processes, and related financial documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to represent Emory Healthcare professionally in high-visibility, partner-facing, and community-facing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain organized records, reports, data files, and partner materials.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across healthcare, sports, marketing, community engagement, and operations.
  • Knowledge of brand stewardship, creative asset review, and social media approval processes.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and report activation data using tools such as QR codes, UTM parameters, Formstack, Wrike, CRM-related data files, and internal reporting tools. Demonstrated commitment to health equity, community engagement, and working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education Master's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Sports Management, Business, Communications, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience Experience working in a healthcare setting, professional sports setting, or sports partnership environment.
  • Experience supporting NIL-related processes, athlete payments, vendor onboarding, or similar financial workflows.
  • Experience supporting sports performance, recovery, wellness, or community health-related partnership activations.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and community-facing programs.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred Experience with Wrike, Formstack, CRM data workflows, social media submission processes, or marketing analytics reporting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare brand standards, HIPAA-sensitive environments, or regulated marketing practices.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, or another language.
  • Ability to translate activation outcomes into clear reporting, insights, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
