Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships

DVG leverages a mix of acquisition, partnership, and venture investment strategies to develop products and services that improve care for patients suffering from kidney disease and related comorbidities.

We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader with a passion for healthcare innovation to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to identify, evaluate, pilot, and scale innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and business performance. This individual will lead the strategy, project management, and execution of partnership initiatives from concept through scale, overseeing pilot programs, evaluating results, developing recommendations for broader deployment, and partnering closely with operating teams to implement successful solutions across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing strategy, managing complex project plans, analyzing results, and driving cross-functional execution in a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

The position is based in Denver, CO and the team operates in a hybrid (in-person/remote) model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnership Strategy Development: Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of strategic partnership opportunities that align with company objectives, patient needs, market trends, and enterprise priorities. Engage patients, physicians, operators, and executive stakeholders to understand unmet needs and develop opportunity sizing analyses and business cases to quantify potential impact.
  • Opportunity Assessment & Strategic Evaluation: Conduct primary and secondary research to evaluate partnership opportunities and inform strategic decision-making. Assess market trends, competitive dynamics, reimbursement considerations, regulatory factors, operational feasibility, and business viability. Develop executive-ready recommendations supported by rigorous analysis and stakeholder input.
  • Pilot Strategy & Design: Develop pilot strategies that clearly define objectives, hypotheses, success metrics, operational workflows, stakeholder engagement approaches, and evaluation frameworks. Translate strategic opportunities into actionable implementation plans designed to generate evidence and inform future scaling decisions.
  • Project Management & Pilot Execution: Lead a portfolio of early-stage pilot programs from concept through completion, serving as the strategic and operational owner responsible for project management, stakeholder alignment, issue resolution, and delivery against key milestones. Drive cross-functional teams to translate strategy into execution, test core assumptions, generate evidence of impact, and establish the foundation for scale.
  • Performance Evaluation & Recommendation Development: Define success metrics, track program performance, and analyze quantitative and qualitative results to evaluate pilot outcomes. Synthesize findings into actionable recommendations regarding expansion, modification, additional testing, or discontinuation.
  • Scale Strategy & Enterprise Adoption: Develop recommendations regarding expansion of successful pilots and partner with business leaders to transition initiatives from proof-of-concept to broader deployment. Identify operational requirements, resource needs, process changes, and key success factors required to support sustainable scale across the enterprise.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Leadership: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, clinicians, operators, and strategic partners. Influence decision-making and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to advance strategic priorities and ensure successful execution.
  • Talent Development: Provide direct management, coaching, and professional development for analysts. Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting team growth and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with strategy, operations, clinical, product, legal, finance, and implementation teams to align initiatives with enterprise priorities and ensure effective execution.

Qualifications & Required Skillset

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, healthcare operations, implementation, management consulting, business development, innovation, or related fields, preferably within healthcare.
  • Proven track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, including managing ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and driving measurable results.
  • Experience designing, launching, and evaluating new programs, products, services, or strategic initiatives.
  • Familiarity with the clinical, operational, and financial drivers that influence decision-making within healthcare organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience developing business cases, sizing opportunities, evaluating program performance, and synthesizing complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop recommendations and present insights to senior leaders and executive decision-makers.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and delivering results in dynamic environments.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust across all levels of the organization.
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented work style with a hands-on approach to solving problems and driving execution.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for identifying innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and navigate organizational complexity with professionalism and maturity.
