Job description

The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Partnership Intern to join our dynamic team. As the Partnership Intern, you will support the Partnership Team in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors. Reporting directly to the Director of Partnerships, you will gain hands-on experience in partnership management while contributing to initiatives that drive revenue and enhance the overall success of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Partnership Managers and Director of Partnerships in executing the partnership strategy, including research on potential sponsors, vendors, and partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in maintaining relationships with existing partners, sponsors, and vendors by helping coordinate communications, deliverables, and requests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, events, and operations, to support the execution of partnership activations and deliverables.
  • Help track and organize partnership performance data, assisting with reports and insights for the Director of Partnerships and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging partnership opportunities to support strategy discussions.
  • Provide onsite support at select tournaments, assisting the Partnership team as a point of contact for partners, sponsors, and vendors.


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sports management, or a related field.
  • Interest in partnership management, business development, or account management, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong communication skills, with an eagerness to learn how to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable working with data and interested in developing analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to tournament locations to support the Partnership team onsite (as needed, dependent on internship schedule).
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.


This internship is onsite at our Dallas Headquarters located in downtown.
