The Manager, Business Development - Partnerships & Minting helps manage and grow a portfolio of customers who purchase MTB's licensed, exclusive, and custom products, including PAMP branded products. As part of the Business Development, Partnerships & Minting team, this role onboards new licenses, negotiates contracts, and partners with established clients to create custom products. The role targets new markets and customer segments to develop new products and requires a deep, detailed understanding of the business to determine what will succeed with each customer segment.
This position works closely with, and shares in the responsibilities of, the Director of Business Development, Partnerships & Minting, and contributes to the management of a $150M+ top-line budget. The ideal candidate builds strong client and vendor relationships, works autonomously, brings sharp business acumen and fresh, creative ideas, enjoys working with branded and licensed products, and consistently thinks outside the box.
A Day in the Life of a Manager, Business Development - Partnerships & Minting:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts that purchase MTB's licensed, exclusive, and custom products, including PAMP branded products, owning each relationship from onboarding through repeat sales.
  • Own performance against a sales and margin plan, tracking results and delivering clear updates on business performance weekly, monthly, and quarterly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Grow the existing client base while identifying and pursuing new clients to expand the portfolio.
  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with clients, licensors, and vendors, establishing new partnerships that drive portfolio growth.
  • Identify and win new clients for custom minting services produced at MTB's Oklahoma City production facilities or the broader MKS PAMP Group's minting facilities in Ticino or India.
  • Onboard new licenses and negotiate contracts, including minimum guarantees, royalties, and other commercial terms.
  • Partner with established clients to develop custom products tailored to their business and customer base.
  • Target new markets and customer segments, developing a deep understanding of what will resonate with each to shape new product opportunities.
  • Monitor trends within the precious metals and collectibles industry and in adjacent markets, translating them into commercially viable product concepts for coins and related products.
  • Lead new product pitch presentations to vendors approximately five times per year, collect reservations, finalize the go-forward product plan, and allocate product by account.
  • Collaborate closely with graphic designers, product developers, and product managers to bring products to life from ideation through sale.
  • Partner with marketing and site merchandising to launch new products, publish them on site, and collect customer reservations through the portal.
  • Own product pricing for the portfolio, setting appropriate sell prices and suggested retail prices.
  • Manage the order-to-shipment process for assigned accounts, entering orders and following up to ensure timely, accurate delivery.
  • Manage unallocated and excess inventory, identifying sales channels that optimize inventory levels and prevent stale or aging stock.
  • Contribute to the management of a $150M+ top-line budget alongside the Director and the broader Product team.
  • Work autonomously while sharing in the collective responsibilities, goals, and priorities of the Business Development, Partnerships & Minting team.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Meeting and exceeding sales and margin targets for managed product types and accounts.
  • Onboarding new target licensors and negotiating favorable contract terms.
  • Bringing new products to market, owning the process from ideation through delivery.
  • Onboarding new customers for custom minting opportunities fulfilled across the MKS PAMP Group's global minting operations.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years of related experience is required.
  • Relevant past experience would include Business Development, Account Management, Merchandise Buyer, Category Manager, Product Development, or Licensing.
