Position is located: 925 Union Street
Work Type: Full Time
Hours Per Week: 40 Hours per Week

Summary:
This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager and is responsible for providing administrative support to the WorkHealth clinics and facilitates day to day clinic operations. Direct report to the Regional Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
  • Registers patients who come to WorkHealth for care.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Process requests for copies of health records.
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
  • General office duties.
  • Maintains and safeguards confidentiality of patient employee health information and WorkHealth records.
  • Maintains daily logs and WorkHealth clinic statistics, to include periodic reporting.
  • Performs checkout functions to include referrals, follow-up appointments and prior authorizations, as necessary.
  • Administers required forms for patient completion.
  • Serves as liaison to departments, members and clients to assist with and provide necessary forms and reports that promulgate seamless operations and continuous care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Information:
  • Associate degree in medical office management, other healthcare related field, or equivalent experience required. Medical terminology preferred.
  • 2-4 years previous medical office experience preferred.
  • Computer skills are essential. Must be familiar with MS Office products including Word and Excel.
  • Must learn and manage administrative tasks of electronic health record to include updates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional telephone skills; detail oriented with great organizational techniques, and ability to multitask.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exemplary customer service skills. General understanding of Workers' Compensation laws and practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADA, OSHA and other related laws preferred.
