As the Senior HR Business Partner, you’ll:

  • Serve as a strategic HR advisor to UnCommon Farms leadership and member farm owners across multiple states
  • Lead full-cycle HR support across the employee lifecycle, from workforce planning and recruiting through employee relations and offboarding
  • Balance internal HR leadership with external member-facing HR partnership, delivering scalable and practical people solutions
  • Coach leaders and owners on performance management, accountability, and organizational change
  • Lead and develop HR team members, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR service delivery
  • Use HR data and insights to guide decisions, reduce risk, and strengthen organizational effectiveness

What You’ll Do

Internal HR Leadership (UnCommon Farms)

  • Lead day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, job changes, leave administration, and HRIS data integrity
  • Manage employee relations matters and investigations with discretion and sound judgment
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, recruiting, performance management, and retention
  • Oversee benefits administration and annual open enrollment in partnership with brokers
  • Support compensation programs, incentives, engagement, and recognition initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain audit-ready HR records
  • Provide payroll oversight to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
  • Directly lead and develop the HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner(s)

External HR Business Partnership (Member Farms)

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor for assigned member farms across multiple states
  • Deliver full-scope HR services including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, and offboarding
  • Build trusted relationships with farm owners, managers, and leadership teams
  • Translate unique business needs into tailored HR strategies across diverse operational models
  • Lead employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution for member operations
  • Coach leaders on communication, performance, accountability, and change management
  • Conduct HR audits and provide recommendations to improve compliance and reduce risk
  • Share and standardize HR best practices across member operations

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10+years of progressive HR experience in HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR leadership roles
  • Experience supporting multiple business units or client groups, preferably in multi-state environments
  • Strong background in employee relations, investigations, and compliance
  • Proven ability to coach leaders and influence at all levels
  • Experience across full-cycle HR including recruiting, compensation, benefits, and performance management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
