Operations & Process Improvement Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $85,000โ€“$95,000

Industry: Event Planning

About the Role

We are seeking an organized, analytical, and solutions-oriented Process Manager to help establish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve operational systems across a fast-paced organization.

This individual will work cross-functionally with department leaders to improve operational planning, scheduling, process consistency, accountability, reporting, and overall efficiency. The Process Manager will take ownership of company-wide processes, workflows, SOPs, planning and scheduling systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys identifying inefficiencies, building better systems, and ensuring processes are successfully implemented and followed across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously improve production planning, project scheduling, workload management, and operational processes.
  • Develop, implement, document, and maintain SOPs, workflows, templates, checklists, and operational standards.
  • Monitor schedules, milestones, dependencies, workloads, capacity, and resource requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, scheduling conflicts, recurring issues, and operational risks.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives from identification through implementation.
  • Establish consistent processes and operating standards across departments.
  • Develop and monitor operational KPIs, dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
  • Analyze operational data and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Conduct operational audits and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Track corrective actions and ensure improvements are successfully implemented and maintained.
  • Train and coach employees and department leaders on processes, systems, scheduling practices, and operational standards.
  • Partner closely with department heads and leadership to improve accountability and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, process improvement, production planning, project coordination, quality assurance, compliance, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and implementing SOPs, workflows, operational standards, or planning systems.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, milestones, dependencies, workload planning, and resource coordination.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify operational problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across multiple departments.
  • Ability to influence and hold stakeholders accountable without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or comparable tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in manufacturing, production, fabrication, construction, printing, logistics, warehouse operations, field operations, or a similar environment.
  • Experience specifically within the live events, audiovisual (AV), staging, entertainment production, experiential marketing, trade show, or event production industry is highly preferred but not required.
  • Experience with production scheduling or project management systems.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience developing and monitoring operational KPIs.
  • Experience with capacity planning, workload forecasting, or resource allocation.
  • Experience conducting operational audits or compliance reviews.
  • Process improvement or project management certification is a plus.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is a primarily on-site position in Fort Lauderdale, FL, working Monday through Friday. The role includes regular interaction with operational, production, warehouse, and field environments and may occasionally require schedule flexibility based on operational needs.
