What You'll Do
Position Summary
The Broker Manager is an essential part of the Growth Team at Suvida Healthcare. The Broker Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with health plan agents, brokers, and agencies with a focus on educating partner brokers and prospective patients on Suvida's culturally relevant, comprehensive primary care model. The Broker Manager will be a pivotal resource for the Clinical and Neighborhood Engagement teams regarding Medicare eligibility and enrollment and will serve as resource internally and externally across assigned markets. He/she will play a key role in developing and executing the market Annual Enrollment Period strategy, helping prepare the company and the neighborhood engagement teams. Essential responsibilities consist of but not all inclusive:
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategy to engage brokers in assigned region in partnership with Director, Growth, and market Neighborhood Engagement teams; Own relationship with brokerage Principals in assigned region.
  • Serve as expert on Medicare and Medicaid, including Medicare Advantage plans, across assigned market; Provid e insight to the Clinical and Neighborhood Engagement teams related to patient questions on health care coverage; Ensure all interactions are compliant.
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Salesforce system to support growth of health plan agent relationships, Document broker of record for all patient referrals and associated activities and outcomes in Salesforce.
  • Work closely with the Neighborhood Engagement teams to build and maintain relationships with insurance agents, partner Medicare Advantage plans, and field marketing organizations to drive a steady referral base.
  • Educate health plan brokers on Suvida's mission and service offering to better serve the Medicare-eligible Hispanic Adults.
  • Responsible for tracking key brokers and agent Key Performance Indicators (KPI's); Translates KPI metrics into actionable insights to inform broker engagement strategy.
  • Collaborate with partner brokers to identify opportunities for joint marketing efforts, presentations, prospecting, and partnerships.
  • Connect local health plan brokers with Suvida's Neighborhood Engagement team to support activities in neighborhoods where Neighborhood Centers are located.
  • Develop and organize Annual Enrollment Period initiatives in assigned region, including project management, training, and supporting field leadership.
  • Work with the growth team to build and introduce Suvida's internal training and development program on Managed care and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) growth.
  • Manage the continued development of projects related to insurance eligibility and benefit management tools.
  • Open to occasional evening and weekend work as business needs dictate.

What You'll Bring
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelors' preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage plans
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing brokers, agencies or FMO's.
  • Proven sales history with health plan agents, brokers, and agencies
  • Demonstrated understanding of health insurance eligibility preferred
  • Experience developing and relationships with insurance payers and Field Marketing Organizations preferred
  • Skilled in program development and management
  • Proficient PC and Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to proactively structure work and problem solve independently.
  • EPIC personality (empathy, patience, integrity, and compassion)
  • Highest degree of honesty and fairness
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) strongly preferred
  • Community health experience preferred
  • Sales background preferred

Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Bachelors' preferred
