Job Description:

The Human Resource Business Partner Director builds trusted relationships with executive leaders to understand evolving operational and business needs, and partner with the executive leaders to build talent, culture, organizational, and leadership strategies. This role supports executive level leaders in various areas across Children's Health, namely - Primary Children's Hospital - Lehi Campus, Primary Children's Hospital - Taylorsville Campus, and Mount Saint Vincent
As a key member of the leadership team, the HR Business Partner Director provides consultative support across a complex healthcare environment, influencing decisions that impact organizational performance, leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and the caregiver experience. The position partners with leaders across hospital operations, ambulatory services, health plans, shared services, and other business functions to align people strategies with enterprise objectives.
This role is primarily based onsite (4 days/week), with regular presence at both Primary Children's Hospital - Lehi Campus, Primary Children's Hospital - Taylorsville Campus, and most frequently located at the Lehi campus.
The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare operations experience, preferably within a hospital setting, and has a demonstrated ability to support senior leaders in large, complex, and fast-paced environments.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive business leaders, providing HR guidance and support aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organization's vision and objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive business leaders to identify and address organizational development needs.
  • Drive the implementation of HR programs that enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Oversee the analysis and reporting of HR metrics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
  • Influence and support a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and position Intermountain Health as an employer of choice.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Leverage Intermountain's Operating Model (Continuous Improvement) to develop and implement data-informed solutions that will support a dynamic growing business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Progressive professional experience in business and Human Resources leading projects and teams with demonstrated success

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

  • HR Certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis, reporting and continuous improvement principles.

Additional Information

  • This is an exempt, full-time position. Pay offers are determined by prior years of relevant experience within the established pay range.
  • In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.
