We are seeking a strategic and technically savvy Business Development Manager to grow and manage our key customer accounts, in North America and EU, for our semiconductor ATE solutions. 
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and accelerating growth opportunities across the North American and European regions in alignment with global product and marketing strategy. This role focuses on market development, strategic accounts, and early stage opportunity creation, working closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Applications Engineering, and regional stakeholders.
This position is chartered to create qualified demand, influence design ins, shape regional strategy, and expand the companyโ€™s footprint across key European customers, segments, and technology inflection points.

Key Responsibilities
Market & Business Development
โ€ข    Identify and develop new revenue opportunities at semiconductor companies (IDMs and Fabless), and third party back-end assembly and test service providers.
โ€ข    Drive early engagement for new platforms, upgrades, and technology transitions
โ€ข    Develop regional growth strategies aligned with global product roadmaps and marketing priorities
โ€ข    Support customer design ins, roadmap alignment, and long term account expansion
Strategic Account & Engagement
โ€ข    Build and maintain senior level relationships with key customers and partners
โ€ข    Coordinate strategic business reviews (SBRs), roadmap discussions, and executive briefings
โ€ข    Engage with ecosystem partners (foundries, OSATs, technology partners) to enable joint growth
โ€ข    Represent the company at industry events, customer workshops, and technical forums
Cross Functional Leadership
โ€ข    Work closely with regional Sales to transition qualified opportunities into design-in activities
โ€ข    Partner with Product Marketing to provide market input on positioning, messaging, and GTM strategies
โ€ข    Collaborate with Applications Engineering to align technical solutions with customer requirements
โ€ข    Provide feedback to Product Management on feature gaps, roadmap priorities, and competitive positioning
Market Intelligence & Strategy
โ€ข    Monitor market trends, customer investment plans, and competitive activity
โ€ข    Identify emerging opportunities in AI, automotive, industrial, power, and advanced packaging segments
โ€ข    Translate market insights into actionable recommendations for product, pricing, and portfolio strategy
โ€ข    Support AOP planning, regional forecasts, and pipeline development activities
Opportunity Qualification & Enablement
โ€ข    Shape early stage opportunities before formal RFQs are issued
โ€ข    Support business case development, value propositions, and ROI justification
โ€ข    Assist in defining target accounts, priority segments, and go to market plays for Europe

Qualifications
Required
โ€ข    Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field
โ€ข    7โ€“12 years of experience in business development, product marketing, or strategic sales roles
โ€ข    Experience in semiconductor test, ATE, or adjacent semiconductor equipment markets
โ€ข    Strong understanding of semiconductors, capital equipment, or high tech manufacturing markets
โ€ข    Proven ability to work across cultures and geographies 
โ€ข    Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
โ€ข    Ability to operate independently 
Preferred
โ€ข    Existing network across European IDMs, OSATs, or automotive / industrial customers
โ€ข    Familiarity with product lifecycle management, roadmap planning, and GTM execution
โ€ข    Comfort engaging both technical and executive level audiences

Compensation: The estimated base pay range for this position is $115,000-$150,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related factors. This range represents Cohuโ€™s good faith estimate of what it reasonably expects to pay for this role upon hire. This role may also be eligible for other compensation programs as determined by company policy.
