About Rubix

At Rubix, we design and deliver end-to-end AI data center infrastructure — from site origination and development through to long-term operations. We partner with customers to scale AI with speed, efficiency, and sustainability, backed by secured land, power access, and accelerated delivery models. Rubix is part of the Submer Group, delivering the infrastructure and platforms AI runs on.

What Impact You Will Have

The Corporate Development Associate will play a critical role in supporting Rubix's inorganic growth strategy and capital deployment decisions across a fast-scaling global portfolio of AI infrastructure projects. This highly visible position will be deeply involved in all phases of investment underwriting, mergers & acquisitions, and structuring strategic partnerships. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next phase of Rubix's growth by building the analytical backbone that powers our long-term strategy.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial modeling skills, comfort creating high-impact presentations and investment materials, deep intellectual curiosity about AI infrastructure and energy markets, and the agility to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. This position reports directly to senior leadership.

What You'll Do

Investment Underwriting & Deal Support

  • Support underwriting of data center investments across global markets, including greenfield, build-to-suit, modular deployments, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain financial models evaluating project returns, including IRR, NPV, and payback analysis
  • Assist in developing investment memos and go/no-go recommendations for senior leadership and investment committees
  • Analyze key value drivers including power pricing, utilization, construction costs, and financing assumptions

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Develop detailed project-level financial models incorporating:
  • Capex phasing and build timelines
  • Revenue assumptions across colocation, wholesale, and AI infrastructure services
  • Power costs, escalation, and operating expenses over asset lifecycle
  • Conduct sensitivity, scenario, and downside analysis to stress-test investment assumptions
  • Standardize and maintain modeling templates and frameworks across the project portfolio
  • Track market activity, financing trends, and developments relevant to AI infrastructure and energy markets

M&A & Strategic Transactions

  • Support M&A and partnership evaluation through deal screening, financial analysis, and stakeholder coordination
  • Build transaction models to evaluate acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic investments
  • Assist with due diligence processes, cross-functional coordination, and transaction execution activities
  • Prepare and present transaction rationale and investment materials to executive leadership and the Board

Investor Relations & Strategic Communications

  • Develop investor relations materials, reporting packages, and executive-level presentations
  • Prepare clear, compelling materials for the Board, executive team, and external stakeholders
  • Translate financial analysis and market insights into actionable recommendations for leadership

Planning & Market Analysis

  • Analyze market trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic direction across data center, AI infrastructure, and energy sectors
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Land & Energy, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to translate technical inputs into financial outputs
  • Support forecasting, strategic planning, and broader corporate finance initiatives
  • Assist in maintaining pipeline visibility and portfolio-level reporting across active opportunities

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5–6 years of experience in investment banking, project finance / infrastructure investing, corporate development, private equity, or transaction advisory
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with demonstrated experience in financial modeling, valuation, and infrastructure deal analysis
  • Solid understanding of valuation methodologies including DCF, IRR, and comparable analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex analysis clearly and compellingly to senior audiences
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong interest in capital markets, AI infrastructure, and the energy transition
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance research, analysis, and workflow efficiency

What We Offer

  • A central role in shaping Rubix's global investment strategy and capital deployment
  • Direct exposure to high-value infrastructure projects at the forefront of AI growth
  • Opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of assets—from origination through operations
  • A fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environment with significant ownership
