Job description

Are you passionate about supporting families in the community?

We are seeking a Family Development Coach motivated to make a difference at our Lewiston Office. A Family Development Coach provides direct customer-based support to clients in their journey to achieve the families' goals. This position is 40 hours, generally 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday, however, does required flexibility to accommodate the needs of clients.

Starting Range: $18.23-$21.00, depending on education and experience

Essential Duties:

  • Engage with families to collaboratively build partnerships to identify strengths and needs through a Whole Family Approach
  • Complete comprehensive assessments with clients in order to support each individual and family unit to set and meet goals
  • Advocate for families by collaborating with internal programs and external agencies to support application completion and ongoing partnerships
  • Provide service similar to case management/care coordination to ensure clients receive timely and coordinated services.
  • Keep accurate and detailed documentation on clients, support with data collection, and data entry

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required with additional college coursework or related certification
  • Associateโ€™s Degree preferred
  • Related experience working with the general public required
  • Five yearsโ€™ related experience preferred

Other Requirements: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team. Pre-employment SBI, DHHS, DMV, Maine and National Sex Offender Registry, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driverโ€™s license and travel within the service area is required.
