Job Summary

The Delivery Manageris responsible foroverseeing daily delivery operations, including route planning, delivery execution, driver supervision, and fleet safety. This role will manage a team of delivery drivers while also performingweeklydelivery routes.The Delivery Manager ensures deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally whilemaintaininghigh standardsfor customer service, vehicle safety, and compliance.

This role serves as the primary point of accountability for delivery operations, including driver training, vehicle inspections, route performance, and delivery processes.

Daily Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage daily delivery operations, including scheduling, route assignments, and delivery priorities
  • Supervise, support, and coach delivery drivers to ensure safe and efficient performance
  • Drive delivery routesapproximately 20-30hours per week whilemaintainingdelivery standards
  • Trainnew driverson delivery procedures, customer service expectations, vehicle operation, and safety requirements
  • Monitor driver performance, attendance, route completion, and delivery accuracy
  • Coordinate route adjustments based on business needs, customer needs, and operational changes
  • Maintain compliance with company vehicle policies and safety procedures
  • Perform regular vehicle inspections and ensure maintenance needs are reported and addressed
  • Maintainaccuratedelivery records, documentation, and reporting
  • Partner with leadership on driver hiring recommendations, performance concerns, and operational improvements
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure company vehicles areoperatedresponsibly
  • Assistwith loading, unloading, and delivery duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of safe vehicle operation and defensive driving practices
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple routes, priorities, and operational needs
  • Professional communication skills with employees, customers, and leadership
  • Strong attention to safety, compliance, and accountability
  • Ability to train and coach employees effectively

Required Education, Certification, or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of delivery, transportation,logistics, or related operational experienceispreferred
  • 1+ year of leadership, supervisor, or team lead experienceispreferred
  • Experience with vehicle inspections, maintenance coordination, or fleet operationsispreferred

Physical Requirements and Schedule

  • Ability to sit andoperatea vehicle for extended periods
  • Ability tofrequentlyenter and exit a cargo van
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages/materials up to50pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed during deliveries
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to safely handle and maneuver items during loading and unloading
  • Work Environment:This position primarily involves driving routes, making deliveries, and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials. Therolerequiresworking independently and managing multiple deliveries throughout the day.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary: $45,000 - $60,000, based on experience
  • $300 contribution toward WRC medical insurance premiums

  • One $50,000 Basic Life & AD&D insurance policy for the employee at no cost to the employee
