Job Title: Float Direct Support Professional
Location: Various Locations - Greater Rochester Area
Department: Residential
Employment Type: Full Time - Evenings (2-10/3-11), and weekend availability required
Pay: $24.62/hour - plus $1,000 Welcome Bonus! Applicable shifts also receive a weekend shift differential.

Your Core Responsibilities:
  • Serve as coverage support for the residential location(s) with the most critical staffing needs across all 70 Lifetime Assistance residential homes.
  • Float Direct Support Professionals will be notified three (3) hours prior to their scheduled shift of the residential site they will be assigned to work at that day.
  • Provide person-centered support, including assistance with hygiene, meal preparation, communication, recreation, and daily living activities.
  • Promote dignity, independence, and community inclusion across various residential locations.
  • Support health and wellness needs such as medication administration, nutrition monitoring, and emergency response.
  • Implement positive behavior supports and maintain SCIP-R II certification.
  • Ensure safety of individuals and home environments while preventing and reporting abuse or neglect.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and medical logs.
  • Travel between multiple residential sites and adapt to flexible scheduling needs.
What You Bring:
  • Compassion, dependability, and a strong commitment to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and follow individualized support plans.
  • Willingness to complete and maintain certifications including First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R II, and Medication Administration.
  • Basic computer skills for electronic documentation and scheduling.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel between residential sites.
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals with mobility needs (up to 35 lbs).
