Job description

Travel Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Circulator
Location: New York
Pay: $2,600 – $2,900 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Schedule:
12-hour day shifts
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM


Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to function as a circulator in a high-acuity adult cardiac OR. This role involves supporting complex cardiac surgical procedures in a multidisciplinary environment focused on advanced cardiac care.


Responsibilities:

  • Function independently as a circulating RN for complex cardiac cases

  • Coordinate and manage patient care during surgical procedures

  • Maintain sterile environment and ensure patient safety

  • Collaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams

  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures

  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols


Case Experience Includes:

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

  • TAVI / TAVR procedures

  • Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall)

  • Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., Mini AVR)

  • Heart failure cases (Impella, VADs, ECMO, Artificial Heart)

  • Heart transplant procedures (preferred)


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience

  • Active New York RN License (required)

  • Ability to independently circulate complex cardiac cases

  • Operating Room experience (Level 1 trauma preferred)


Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA required)

  • ACLS (AHA required)
