Position Summary:

As a FarmStay Host, you are at the heart of the WhistlePig guest experience. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our FarmStay guests, creating a warm, personalized, and seamless experience from the moment they arrive through the moment they depart. 

The FarmStay Host is responsible for owning the guest experience by delivering an exceptional level of hospitality that reflects the WhistlePig brand and our commitment to creating unforgettable visit to the WhistlePig Farm & Distillery. This role combines genuine hospitality, thoughtful service, storytelling, and operational excellence to ensure every guest feels welcomed, valued, and well cared for. 

You will anticipate guest needs, build meaningful connections, and create memorable moments throughout their stay. From welcoming guests to the farm to hosting tastings, tours, and leading off-site experiences, you will be their trusted host and guide throughout their WhistlePig journey. 

The ideal candidate is naturally personable, service-oriented, detail-focused, and confident creating elevated experiences in a relaxed and authentic environment. A passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to make people feel at home are essential. 

Your Day-to-Day Will Include 

Guest Experience & Hospitality 

  • Serve as the primary host and point of contact for FarmStay guests throughout their visit. 
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and personalized experience from arrival through departure. 
  • Anticipate guest needs and proactively address requests to ensure a seamless stay. 
  • Develop genuine relationships with guests and create memorable, personalized moments. 
  • Maintain a high standard of hospitality and consistently represent the WhistlePig. 
  • Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism, warmth, and a solutions-oriented approach. 
  • Identify opportunities to exceed guest expectations and turn everyday interactions into memorable experiences. 

Whiskey & Brand Experience 

  • Lead and assist with whiskey tastings, barrel selections and other educational experiences. 
  • Lead grain-to-glass tours and provide engaging storytelling around WhistlePig's whiskey, farm, and brand. 
  • Share whiskey knowledge in an approachable and engaging way that meets guests at their level of interest and experience. 
  • Represent WhistlePig with enthusiasm, authenticity, and professionalism in every guest interaction. 

Transportation & Off-Site Experiences 

  • Safely and professionally transport guests to and from the airport and off-site activities using company vehicles. 
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and personable host during off-site excursions and activities. 
  • Ensure transportation experiences are comfortable, timely, safe, and reflective of WhistlePig's hospitality standards. 

Service & Operational Excellence 

  • Assist with preparation, setup, breakdown, and service for guest tastings, meals, events, and activities. 
  • Follow all company policies, hospitality standards, responsible alcohol service practices, and safety procedures. 
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment and support fellow team members as needed. 
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities to ensure the success of the guest experience.

The hourly wage of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, and training.
