Based in our Allentown office and out of the Catasauqua area, you'll perform field inspections, document conditions, and help ensure projects meet approved plans and specifications. What You Will Do

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, distribution systems, and collection systems to ensure safe and reliable service.
  • Perform routine inspections, process monitoring, sampling, and laboratory testing to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor operational systems, gauges, meters, pumps, valves, and treatment equipment and respond to operational alarms or emergencies as needed.
  • Monitor, and adjust chemical feed rates, and treatment processes based on operational conditions and testing results.
  • Complete preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Collect and document operational data, maintenance activities, and regulatory reports accurately and timely.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company/municipal policies.
  • Assist in system flushing, system maintenance, valve exercising, and equipment upkeep.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, regulatory agencies, and internal departments during projects and regular operational activities.
  • Be on call as needed.
  • Utilize digital tools for data collection and reporting, including Survey123, ArcGIS, tablets, and GPS equipment as needed.

What you Bring

  • Proven experience in water and sewer treatment facilities with pumping stations, distribution systems, and collection systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and municipal standards independently.
  • Strong field documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency using digital field tools (Survey123, ArcGIS, tablets, SCADA, etc.).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • PA DEP Water and Wastewater Operator License, Class B or higher.
  • Experience with municipal or authority-led water and sewer projects.
