What You'll Do

BGCSF is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Programs & Impact to lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-impact programs across our organization. Reporting to the Senior VP of Club Services, this role provides vision, leadership, and alignment across eight standalone Clubhouses, six School-Based Clubs, and Camp Mendocino, managing Program Services, Outcomes Measurement, and Staff Development & Program Quality.

  • Drive Program Strategy & Improvement - Oversee annual program planning, curriculum development, and outcome evaluations while conducting regular Club visits to ensure program standards and quality are maintained.
  • Lead Data-Informed Quality Assurance - Foster a continuous quality improvement culture using data, pulse checks, and observations to make actionable changes to programs and inform Board and leadership decisions.
  • Manage & Mentor Teams - Provide direct leadership, coaching, and growth opportunities to direct reports across Citywide Services, Outcomes Measurement, and Staff Development & Program Quality.
  • Advance Strategic Goals - Participate as a core member of the Senior Management Team, driving execution of the strategic plan and identifying growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Manage Budgets & Resources - Oversee Program Services and Evaluation & Impact budgets, monitoring monthly expenses and partnering with Finance to optimize resources.
  • Partner with Development & Marketing - Collaborate with Development on grants and donor engagement, and partner with Marketing to share the organization's impact story and market programs.
  • Cultivate External & Sector Partnerships - Work with BGCA, DCYF, City agencies, and community partners to pilot programs, share best practices, and expand community support.
What You BringRequired
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 6+ years of leadership experience at a large youth-serving non-profit with proven success in staff management, program delivery, and community relations
  • Thorough knowledge of the mission, objectives, programs, and funding landscape of community-based organizations
  • Strong leadership skills including negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and delegation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong tech proficiency (G-Suite, Word, Excel, Salesforce)
Preferred
  • Leadership experience within an inner-city Boys & Girls Club or similar community-based organization
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $115,000-$140,000 annual. Final compensation is determined based on a range of factors, including skill set, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. Candidates may be hired at the entry, mid, or senior level of the range, depending on qualifications and position requirements.


Pre-Employment Requirements

As part of the hiring process, BGCSF requires candidates to complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
