As a key member of the Development Leadership Team, you will lead a talented fundraising organization, steward significant donor relationships, and drive innovative strategies that expand our reach, deepen our impact, and ensure long-term sustainability. Why This Role Matters

What You'll Lead
Build Transformational Philanthropy
  • Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy that advances CHS's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Drive revenue growth through major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, foundation support, special events, and endowment development.
  • Help diversify philanthropic investments and identify innovative funding opportunities.
Inspire Donors and Partners
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with high-capacity donors and philanthropic leaders.
  • Engage corporations, foundations, community influencers, and strategic partners around the CHS mission.
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador and storyteller for the organization throughout Florida.
Develop High-Performing Teams
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of development professionals committed to excellence and impact.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.
  • Build next-generation fundraising talent that strengthens the organization's future.
Advance Community Impact
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, board members, program leaders, and community stakeholders.
  • Connect donors to meaningful opportunities that create measurable outcomes for children and families.
  • Ensure philanthropy remains a driving force behind organizational growth and innovation.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive fundraising, philanthropy, or business development leadership experience.
  • Proven success securing major gifts of a specific $ amount.
  • Experience leading high-performing fundraising teams and multi-channel development strategies.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
