Position Overview
The University of Cincinnati's College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) is seeking a creative and motivated Video Production & Photography Student Associate to join our marketing and communications team. This is a part-time position, limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week, ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience in video production, photography, and social media content creation within a dynamic academic environment.
On-Campus Co-op Option: This position could also be offered as an On-Campus Co-op position. Student's successful completion of the On-Campus Co-op Program involves enrollment in the COOP 1000 On-Campus Coop Professional Development & Reflection course.
Primary Duties
  • Assist in the planning, shooting, and editing of video and photography content for CEAS, including promotional materials, virtual tours, interviews, and event coverage.
  • Capture high-quality photos for various college events, marketing campaigns, and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging visual content that aligns with the college's brand and messaging.
  • Support post-production tasks, including video editing, color correction, sound mixing, photo editing, and adding graphics or subtitles.
  • Manage and optimize video and photo content for digital and social media channels.
  • Help maintain and organize video and photography equipment and media assets.
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions for upcoming projects.

Minimum Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Video Production, Photography, Film, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Basic knowledge of camera operation, lighting, sound recording, and photography techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for storytelling through video and photography.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
