Role Overview

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Texas-licensed Physician (MD or DO) to join our clinical team supporting our Marble Falls, Texas.

This is a part-time clinical role providing direct patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. Physicians work alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and clinical staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care for a wide range of acute medical conditions.

This opportunity is ideal for physicians seeking flexible scheduling or supplemental clinical income while practicing in a collaborative urgent care environment without inpatient responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent care and episodic medical needs

  • Manage a broad range of low to moderate acuity conditions including minor injuries, infections, and acute illnesses

  • Interpret diagnostics including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory results

  • Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, and other minor procedures

  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and quality care delivery

  • Follow established clinical protocols and documentation standards

  • Provide clinical mentorship and oversight to APPs as required

Qualifications
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license

  • Active DEA registration

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine (required)

  • Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care strongly preferred

  • Comfortable managing a wide variety of acute presentations across all age groups
