Nurse Practitioner - Sacramento, CA

Location: Sacramento, Carmichael & Elk Grove, CA

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Flexible Schedule Including Nights & Weekends, No on-call required, Occasional travel between clinic locations

Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) to provide high-quality urgent care services. Providers will be primarily based at one clinic location with occasional travel to nearby clinics for coverage.

This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses, minor injuries, and occupational health cases while ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuries

โ€ข Prescribe medications and order/interpret diagnostic tests

โ€ข Provide follow-up care and patient education

โ€ข Perform minor procedures (laceration repair, I&D, wound care, splinting)

โ€ข Manage occupational health and workers' compensation cases

โ€ข Follow established clinical protocols for urgent care conditions

โ€ข Maintain accurate EMR documentation

โ€ข Support efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment

โ€ข Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure quality care

Required Qualifications:

โ€ข Active California NP

โ€ข Current DEA registration

โ€ข BLS certification

โ€ข Furnishing Number (if applicable)

โ€ข Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (Urgent Care, ER, or Family Practice preferred)

โ€ข DOT Certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)

Preferred Qualifications:

โ€ข Urgent care or emergency medicine experience

โ€ข Strong procedural skills

โ€ข Ability to manage high patient volume

โ€ข Flexibility for schedule and location coverage
