Your Opportunity
Stantec is actively seeking to fill a full-time position as a 3D visualization specialist with a focus on visual assessment work. Applicants will primarily be responsible for the 3d Studio Max model production and Photoshop compositing for a wide range of projects, including solar, wind, infrastructure, and water related facility simulations. Applicants will also be responsible for data collection and CADs imports into 3D Studio Max. The Design Visualization Services Team is at the forefront of many innovative deliverables including XR, 360° imagery, and interactive simulations, and applicants will have the opportunity to aid in the development of these exciting new processes.
Applicants will be working alongside experienced professionals and must be able to work on a creative and dynamic team. Each project provides a new opportunity to solve a problem, tell a story, and illustrate a solution. In this position you will be on the front lines of the innovative work we produce in field of virtual/video/photo simulation. We are looking for applicants with relevant industry qualifications and software experience who are ready to bring their ideas to the table. If you have demonstrated the ability to create visually compelling 3D content, translate design information into visual reality, and are looking for a meaningful and creative professional experience, this might be the job for you.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of landscape architects, planners, designers, engineers and specialists on a variety of projects at once.
  • Contribute to all phases of projects including analysis, design, client engagement and final production.
  • Create drawings and graphics including maps, diagrams, sketches, renderings, 3D models, animations, and videos.
  • Open to learn new programs, plug ins, and processes to apply to future projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max, including data imports, modeling, texturing, camera matching/alignment, basic animation, lighting, and rendering.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for image editing, compositing, and graphic production.
  • Solid AutoCAD skills, with the ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
  • Design background with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual communication skills.

Preferred / Plus Skills
  • Experience with Chaos V-Ray.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D to 3D Studio Max workflows.
  • Experience with ArcGIS.
  • Unreal Engine experience or exposure.
  • Experience with ITOOSOFT Forest Pack and Rail Clone.
  • Photography experience, particularly for photo-matching and visual impact assessments
  • Understanding of the permitting process and preparation/understanding of visual impact assessment graphics.

Pay Range:
• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$77,400.00 - $112,200.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
