THE JOB

The Louisville Palace and Mercury Ballroom are seeking seasonal part-time Ancillary crew members for the 2024 Concert Season! As an Ancillary crew member, you will assist our patrons with point-of-sale items such as seat upgrages, cash to card, and additional purchase items listed for the season. The Ancillary crew is expected to arrive before a show starts and stay late to aid with the post show pick up of equipment and rentals.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Solicit sales of new or additional services or products offered at the venue.
  • Take transactions in customer facing areas such as cash to card
  • Monitor customer belongings, and maintain coat check
  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue - this may include picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, bike racks, metal detectors, tables, and other duties as assigned.
  • Show CARE by participating in venue sustainability efforts such as sorting waste into correct bins, educating our fans about our efforts or collecting recyclables from the lawn before and after the show.
  • Additional tasks as requested by management.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 1+ year in a guest service role preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Acute sense of judgment and diplomacy
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs and occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying 25 lbs.+
