Job Details:

Job Title: Groundskeeper Part Time Temporary/Summer

Temp position timeframe: Hire date to September 2026

30 hours per week

Hours: 5am to 1:30pm

Job Summary: A Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining and managing the outdoor areas of lawns, social spaces, work areas and walkways. They ensure the landscape is well-kept, safe, and aesthetically pleasing by performing regular maintenance tasks, such as mowing, trimming, planting, and cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lawn Care & Landscaping:
    • Mow, trim, and edge lawns and grass areas.
    • Fertilize and apply pesticides or herbicides as needed.
    • Reseed lawns, aerate soil, and install new plants as necessary.
    • Shovel or pull weeds in small to large areas.
  • Maintenance & Repairs:
    • Inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper functioning.
    • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Cleaning & Waste Management:
    • Remove litter, fallen leaves, and debris from grounds.
    • Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure safety of the grounds, preventing hazards and ensuring clear pathways.
    • Follow health and safety regulations related to equipment, chemicals, and landscaping practices.
  • Other Duties:
    • Assist with snow removal during the winter season.
    • Support event setups or outdoor functions.
    • Report any issues or damage related to the grounds to the appropriate personnel.
