Job description

MELE is seeking a highly detailed and strategic Senior Technical Advisor to provide high-level, remote subject matter expertise to the National Nuclear Security Administrationโ€™s (NNSA) Office of Safeguards Technology (NA-241). This strategic technical role provides periodic consulting support, including advising on program/project implementation in relevant regions and planning/designing complex multilateral initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Experience working with relevant stakeholders in the Indo-Pacific region, including regional organizations, foreign governments, and non-governmental organizations
  • Background leading multidisciplinary teams, regional and bilateral engagement, and global nonproliferation.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Masterโ€™s Degree
    • 5+ years of experience in nuclear safeguards, non-proliferation, and nuclear security.
    • Excellent analytical writing skills, with the ability to synthesize dense technical data for executive-level, non-technical stakeholders.

    LOCATION: This position is Remote; candidates may be periodically requested to attend in-person meetings at Portals.

    SALARY:ย Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidateโ€™s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is $300-315k.ย
