Short Description

   Lead the Department's clinical outcomes research program.    Collaborate with surgeons to design and execute high-impact clinical research.    Provide methodological leadership for observational studies, registry analyses, comparative effectiveness research,          and real-world evidence studies.    Train surgical residents, oncology fellows, and faculty in study design, database development, statistical analysis,              and  scientific writing.    Build reproducible analytics workflows and maintain regulatory compliance.    Compiles, writes and submits project results to principal investigator or Director of Surgical Research.    Confers with industrial, governmental or other groups concerning progress or results of research project.          Publish research findings in peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author        Develop competitive external grant applications.    Performs other duties as assigned.        

Experience Required

Demonstrated expertise in clinical outcomes research, observational study design, and causal inference. Experience with large clinical databases. Proficiency in biostatistics, programming, bioinformatics skills. Strong publication record and experience in collaborating with clinicians and mentoring trainees. Track record of external grant application and artificial intelligence skills preferred.

Education Requirements

Ph.D., MD, or MD/PhD or equivalent in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Services Research, Data Science, Public Health, or related field
