Job description

Find your purpose working on our laundry/EVS team as a Linen Tech at the St. Cloud Hospital!  

Linen Techs are responsible for safe retrieval of soiled linen and for provision of hygienically clean laundry.  We also distribute the ready-to-use laundry throughout storage locations in the Hospital.

This posting is for a Part-Time position; you will work five 8-hour shifts per two-week pay period.  This included every-other weekend.  As you grow with us, there will come opportunities to pick up more shifts if you wish.

Schedule:

  • Days | 8-hour shifts | 5:30am - 2pm
  • Part-Time Hours | 40 Hours every two weeks.
  • Weekends and Holiday rotation.

Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards)

  • Wage rates start at $17.49 per hour, offering more with experience.
  • Full pay range $16.05 - $24.09/hour
  • Weekend shift differential is + $1.05 per hour when occurring.

Duties:

  • Retrieval of soiled linen
  • Process the clean laundry, sorting, folding, packaging, etc.
  • May require the transport of packaged linens to storage closets and other desired locations around the Hospital
  • Good communication skills are needed to effectively work with team members and customers. 

 EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED graduate or equivalent required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Energy! Hustle! You will be covering a large area of the Hospital on each shift so we need workers that have a lot of energy & can handle 10,000 steps a shift with ease.
  • Experience in healthcare (institutional laundry) is preferred.
  • The ability to understand detailed technical instruction for laundry instrumentation and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write and understand basic math.
  • Ability to understand numerical readings on equipment required.
