Pay Range: $19.29 per hour
Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests to the dining establishment and escorting them to their seats in a professional and courteous manner. This role includes managing seating arrangements, assisting with reservations, and ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Greets guests and escorts them to their seats in a courteous manner.

  • Presents menus and answers guest questions regarding the food and service.

  • Manages seating arrangements based on restaurant activity and reservations.

  • Performs opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is ready for service.

  • Assists food and beverage staff with side-work and setup as needed.

  • Maintains knowledge of operating hours, menu items, promotions, and specials to assist guests.

  • Responds to guest inquiries and ensures their needs are met efficiently.

  • Creates and manages reservations using the property reservation system.

  • Maintains seating charts and confirms reservations, including large parties and special requests.

  • Ensures a clean and organized work environment at all times.

  • May assist with the setup and cleaning of function rooms when necessary.

  • Attends department meetings and completes assigned projects.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
