Job description

Position:                    Student Employee - Dining Services   

Department:             Food Service - Benny's Dining

Classification:          Part-time, non-benefit eligible

Location:  Lisle

Rate:                        State minimum wage

Duties:                      

  • Greet students and swipe ID cards at the entrance
  • Wipe down tables and maintain a clean dining area
  • Sweep floors as needed throughout shift
  • Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, and other dining supplies
  • Assist with setting up hot and cold food stations
  • Monitor food stations and replenish items as needed
  • Help with general cleaning at the end of shifts (e.g., wiping counters, emptying trash)
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service to guests       

Responsibilities: 

Check-in & Guest Services 1.) Swipe students in using ID cards 2.) Greet guests and provide friendly customer service

Dining Room Cleanliness 1.)Wipe tables and clean surfaces regularly 2.) Sweep and maintain clean floors throughout shift 3.) Empty trash bins as needed

Restocking Supplies 1.) Refill utensils, napkins, cups, and condiments 2.) Monitor and restock beverage and cereal stations

Food Service Assistance 1.) Help set up hot and cold food stations before service 2.) Restock food items during service as needed 3.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of food stations

End-of-Shift Duties 1.) Assist with closing procedures including light cleaning 2.) Communicate with team and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently

Safety & Sanitation 1.) Follow all food safety and hygiene practices 2.) Wear appropriate uniform and maintain a clean appearance
