SUMMARY
Provides non-instructional support within the Fire Academy of Cuyahoga Community College.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provides non-instructional support to the Firefighter Physical Agility Testing program as test proctors
  • Provides non-instructional support to the Firefighter Training Academy through maintenance and operation of essential equipment and instructional props
  • Provides non-instructional support in the transport and delivery of essential equipment/materials required for Live Fire Training exercises and other Advanced Fire Training programming

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated knowledge in all types of tools and equipment used in firefighter training
  • Must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of regular work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and ability to meet the College's insurability requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively to individuals at all levels internal and external to the College
  • Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
