Job description

About the Position

Are you an experienced pet stylist who loves working independently and building one-on-one relationships with pets and their owners? We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and self-motivated Mobile Pet Groomer to join our team!

In this role, you will enjoy the freedom of the open road as a solo operator. You will start and end your workday in Akron, OH, where you will pick up our fully equipped, state-of-the-art mobile grooming van. From there, you'll head out on your daily routes to bring premium grooming services directly to our clients' doorsteps.

Because this is an independent, mobile role, you must be confident in your grooming skills and physically capable of handling pets of all sizes and temperaments safely and gently on your own

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

· Precision Grooming: Perform high-quality, full-service styling tailored to various dog breeds, including specialty and breed-standard cuts (Poodles, Schnauzers, Cocker Spaniels, etc.).

· Hygienic Care: Safely perform nail trims, ear cleaning, and ear plucking.

· Compassionate & Safe Handling: Provide gentle, patient care. You must be comfortable and physically able to safely handle difficult, senior, or overweight dogs that may have trouble standing or resist paw/nail work without a second groomer present.

· Customer Service: Be the face of our business! Deliver friendly, professional customer service and communicate clearly with pet owners at their homes.

· Drive & Maintain the Van: Safely operate, clean, and keep inventory stocked in the company-provided mobile grooming vehicle.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

· Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on, professional pet grooming experience in a salon or mobile setting (must be confident with breed-specific cuts).

· Independence: Proven ability to work safely and efficiently as a solo groomer.

· Physical Capability: Ability to lift, support, and groom larger or aging pets independently.

· Reliability: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required to operate our company vehicle.

· Commute: Ability to reliably commute to Akron daily to pick up and drop off the grooming vehicle.

Benefits & Perks

· Fully equipped, climate-controlled mobile grooming van provided (no wear and tear on your personal vehicle!).

· Great independence and a flexible, autonomous work environment.

· Stable, built-in clientele.
