Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Austin, Texas

Facility: Strictly Pediatrics Medical Office Building

Department/Specialty: Pediatric Gastroenterology Infusion

Schedule: Part time | Monday-Friday Part time 8 hours

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Deliver personalized direct care that aligns with the highest clinical standards to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive health outcomes.

  • Develop and manage comprehensive care plans by continuously monitoring patient progress and adjusting interventions to meet evolving needs.

  • Serve as the primary care coordinator, collaborating seamlessly across multidisciplinary teams to create a unified, holistic healing journey for every patient.

  • Execute physician and nursing orders with precision, maintaining clear, accurate, and prompt communication regarding patient status and changes.

  • Lead proactive discharge planning in partnership with the broader care team to empower patients and families for a smooth, safe transition home or to next-level care.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Pediatric Vascular Access: Skilled in pediatric IV starts and cannulation with one year of dedicated intravenous nursing experience.
  • Specialized Care: In-depth clinical knowledge of pediatric gastroenterology IV medications and administration protocols.
