Immediate opening!
Golden State Storage has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Assistant Manager. The schedule for this position will be every week, Sundays and Mondays, with the opportunity for extra days when the Managers need vacations and additional days off.
We are looking for an individual who has diverse skills in office work and outside hands-on maintenance, as well as experience in driving large trucks and trailers. If you are energetic, personable, and have a proven record of providing outstanding customer service and closing the sale, then this is the job for you.
The ideal candidate will enjoy this well-rounded position, renting storage spaces, answering and responding to all customer communications, standard office duties, outside facility maintenance, as well as processing and maneuvering Moving Truck and trailer rentals/returns.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate would enjoy an office environment that can fluctuate between fast-paced customer service, a quiet office setting, inside and outdoor work, and everything in between. This role allows employees to be self-sufficient, problem-solvers, and outgoing in a positive setting.
Office and Outdoor responsibilities to manage both self-storage and truck rentals. A candidate must sustain good time management skills to reach time-sensitive objectives and be detail-oriented.
Job responsibilities include:
โ€ข Provide excellent customer service, resolve customer problems, and handle all telephone and walk-in inquiries
โ€ข Moving Truck Rentals- including light cleaning, customer rental, and the ability to maneuver truck and trailer equipment
โ€ข Sales, occupancy, and delinquency management of the facility
โ€ข Show, rent, and clean storage units
โ€ข Cash handling for payments
โ€ข Outgoing and incoming mail processing
โ€ข Keep all required files in order as directed by corporate
โ€ข Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and secure facility, including daily lock checks and visual inspections
โ€ข Maintenance duties consist of cleaning storage units, property grounds, and the office; bathroom cleaning, changing light bulbs, weed removal, and truck rental re-fueling at a nearby gas station when necessary
โ€ข Must have polite and professional phone etiquette
โ€ข Multi-task between in-person, phone, and online communications with current and potential renters
โ€ข Collaborate effectively and positively with team leads and fellow employees on setting and achieving team-specific goals
Qualifications
โ€ข UNRESTRICTED DRIVER LICENSE REQUIRED - no exceptions
โ€ข Preferred Past Job Experience- Customer Service, Sales, Office/Admin, Labor
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and climb ladders
โ€ข Proficient in computer knowledge
โ€ข Must be able to sit for about 4 to 6 hours daily, walk, and stand
โ€ข Background and credit checks performed
