JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Radiation Science & Engineering Center is seeking applicants for a part-time receptionist.

Job duties to include:

  • Serve as primary point of contact and escort for visitors, tours, classes and maintain security by collecting required information needed for signing guests in, showing safety and security video, and distributing dosimetry.
  • Answer phones/assist callers.
  • Provide general office support: maintain office supply inventory and ordering, gas cylinder orders/returns, purchasing/ordering requests, note taking for staff meetings and emergency drills, scheduling shipping pickups, maintain office machines, enter OPP work orders and maintain copies of forms needed for operations.
  • Assist with yearly Open House, events, workshops and meetings.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
  • Office, Teams, Simba, SAP Concur, Worklion preferred

Selected candidate will be subject to Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) background checks and fingerprinting prior to starting.

Schedule:

  • Monday thru Friday, 20-24 hours per week

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $20/hour

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
