Your daily responsibilities include for a combination of two of the following functions of Cashier, Main Banker, or Sports Writer:

ย ย 

For ALL Roles:

  • Responsible for new player card signups.
  • Responsible for player card reprints.
  • Responsible for player card pin reset.
  • Assists and promotes Penn Play App activation, Penn Wallet, and Penn Wallet Deposits.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.ย 
  • Maintains knowledge of property information.
  • Any and all duties assigned by leadership.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Notifies Leadership of escalated or prevalent guest issues/concerns and any apparent suspicious activity.
  • Ensures compliance with currency transaction requirements, Title 31, and money laundering and Suspicious Activity Reporting for Casinos (SARC) requirements.

ย Cashier

  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of and enforcing all gaming laws and regulations which apply to the functions and duties of the Player Services Department.
  • Exchanges cash, coins, tokens and chips in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assists guests with completion of credit applications.
  • Cashes personal, travelers and payroll checks in compliance with approved procedures, and performs credit card advances.
  • Records any applicable federal cash transactions.
  • Issues and receives payments on markers.
  • Balances bank at end of shift.

ย Sports Writer

  • Keeps daily balance sheet of amount and number of transactions.
  • Writes, verifies, and makes payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Keeps daily balance sheet of amount and number of transactions.
  • Maintains an accurate cash bank for assigned shift and responsible for accepting payment and making correct changes when necessary.
  • Stocks Race & Sports Book Teller stations with necessary supplies and keeps all stations neat and clean.
  • Makes accurate payments on winning tickets in accordance to established guidelines.
  • Maintains and reconciles bank for assigned shift according to variance policy.
  • Explains wagering rules, including betting lines and odds, and procedures to guests.

ย Main Banker

  • Keeps daily balance sheet of amount and number of transactions.
  • Writes, verifies, and makes payments on tickets for race and sports wagers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Keeps daily balance sheet of amount and number of transactions.
  • Maintains an accurate cash bank for assigned shift and responsible for accepting payment and making correct changes when necessary.
  • Stocks Race & Sports Book Teller stations with necessary supplies and keeps all stations neat and clean.

  • Must have good math and money handling skills.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must successfully complete applicable alcohol training certification course.

  • Must be able to obtain a Gaming Permit. Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course.ย 
  • Must have 10-key calculator and keyboarding skills. Must also have previous experience with jet sort, coin roller, check cashing and credit card cash advance systems.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The team member is frequently required to walk. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance. The team member must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
