What is a Super League?

A Super League typically refers to a top-tier sports league composed of elite teams, often formed to create a more competitive and commercially attractive competition. In football (soccer), for example, the term gained popularity with proposals for a European Super League, where top clubs from different countries would compete outside of traditional domestic leagues. The concept can apply to other sports as well, aiming to bring together the best teams or players in a premier competition. Super Leagues are often controversial due to concerns about fairness, financial disparities, and the impact on existing league structures.
